Grade 2 Music
Course Description
We learn that music has patterns and guidelines to give it structure. We also learn that the structure can change depending on the country or heritage of the people associated with it. As our musical experiences grow we learn the correct vocabulary to use to evaluate and discuss the differences.
Course Big Ideas
- Creating: Second graders expand their ability to compose and improvise music. They explore more complex structures and forms, experimenting with rhythms, melodies, and harmonies while expressing their ideas through musical creation.
