Title 1 Family Night

Mrs. Glover and Mrs. Rau had an excellent idea. They invited children, families, and caregivers to Hayshire on Tuesday evening to read, solve math problems, and have fun. Their good idea and planning resulted in a fun night of learning together. 

Families visited different stations. Miss Prowell, our librarian, had many books for children to choose from. Children selected books to keep and read! 

Children read words and some children read letters. They did these things while playing games and making crafts. Families left with games and strategies to practice reading at home. 

Children solved math problems. They solved problems while playing games and making crafts. Families left with games and strategies to practice math facts at home. 

Children had a good time. Families and caregivers had a good time. Teachers who volunteered had a lot of fun too!
