Hayshire Happenings: The November Narrative of Thanks 🍁

Hayshire had much to be thankful for in November. We had a variety of fun and educational activities for children, staff, and families. We've had lots of helpers to make everything possible!

Here are a few of the things that left our hearts full in November:

Fall Festival: Each class had a fall festival party complete with fall-themed activities and snacks. Classrooms also gathered together to listen to guest readers read fall books curated by Miss Prowell!

Veterans Day Celebration: Hayshire celebrated Veterans Day with assemblies. Mr. Caufman and Captain Beam are veterans who helped everyone understand what it means to be a veteran. JROTC placed flags and displayed a wreath at the school entrance to celebrate this day.

Reading Carnival: Mrs. Beam, Mrs. Glover, and Mrs. Rau organized Hayshire's Reading Carnival. Families gathered to practice reading and eat hot dogs. Many staff members volunteered to make the night a success!

Dance Party: The whole school participated in a dance party during recess time. This was a celebration, and a big thank you for helping the PTO raise funds for the special things they do for our children. There were big speakers and DJs!

Holiday Meal: Cafeteria staff made a delicious holiday meal. There was turkey, all the fixings, and even homemade cookies! Hayshire had special guests helping to serve the meal.

Practice Gratitude: In November, Hayshire's Sunshine Committee gave each staff member a turkey feather. Everyone wrote what made them grateful to be at Hayshire.
