Hayshire Happenings: Making Paper 📃

Our class made blue paper at school with Miss Ruthie. All of the kindergarten classes made paper with Miss Ruthie. It is easy to make paper.

We took old pieces of paper. We ripped the paper into little baby pieces.
Miss Ruthie put the paper into the blender. She added water.

She turned the blender on. The paper and the water mixed together. We knew it was mixing because the blender was moving the paper and water around and around.

Miss Ruthie turned the blender off. It did not look like paper and water anymore. It did looked like blue mushy stuff.

She poured the blue mushy stuff into a frame that was littler than a desk. We put a frame on top of the mushy stuff  We used sponges to squish out all the water before we opened the frames up.

The mushy stuff was just flat and blue when we opened the frame, but it wasn’t dry. It would take a whole day for it to dry. When it dried it made paper! Everybody got a piece of paper to take home.
