Hayshire Happenings: Making Our Hopes & Dreams Come True

Children at Hayshire share their Hopes and Dreams at the start of the school year. After winter break, they revisit Hopes and Dreams.

Mrs. Slatt's class look at their Hopes and Dreams from the beginning of the school year. Many children achieved their Hope and Dream. Other children didn't achieve their goal...yet! The children (and Mrs. Slatt) are proud of how much they have grown!

Some children's Hope and Dream remain the same. Many children craft new Hopes and Dreams for the second half of the school year.

First graders in Mrs. Mottilla's class share their Hopes and Dreams.

  • Charleston’s Hope and dream is to learn why cats purr. She thinks she will learn this when she learns more about cats.
  • Izaiah’s Hope and dream is to paint in art class, but his real Hope and dream is to go to college.

  • Mackenzie’s hope and dream is to read all by herself. When she goes to bed, she can read herself a story! She has been practicing at home and at school!

Every grade level attends a P.O.W.E.R. Time assembly. Hopes and Dreams are shared. Rules are reviewed. We follow the rules at Hayshire to stay safe and to make our dreams come true!

One of Mrs. Beam's Hopes and Dreams came true! Readers are getting better and better at reading! She feels proud. She writes Positive P.O.W.E.R. notes for children to give to their families.

We work hard at Hayshire to make Hopes and Dreams come true!
