Hayshire Happenings: A Delightful December ☃️

There was a lot of learning happening at Hayshire during the month of December. Children were reading, writing, learning new math concepts and conducting science experiments!

Sprinkled throughout the month were many special moments. It was a month filled with caring, community building, and delight!

First Grade Reading Camp: Fifty-two first graders participated in an after-school reading camp run by Hayshire's first grade teachers, reading specialists, and intervention specialist. The camp culminated in a family night! Families joined their first graders to practice reading!

Stitches of Love: A local knitting group, Stitches of Love, donated beautiful hats and scarves to Hayshire. This year, every second grader had the pleasure of choosing a hat or scarf!

Holiday Sing-Along: Hayshire held the annual sing-along. The entire school sang a variety of holiday and winter tunes. In addition to that, Miss Prowell read a seasonal book, children told winter-themed jokes, and two children read poems about snow. It was a fun way to say goodbye to 2024.
