Hayshire Happenings: 2nd Grade Writers 📝

We are writing personal narrative stories. These are stories about something that happened and is true. 

We read a personal narrative about a girl’s dad. The story is Landing On Your Feet. The girl's dad was her gymnastics teacher. He didn’t want to do any of his favorite things. That was because he hurt his ankle. The little girl helped her dad. Vivian liked reading about what happened in the story! 

We started writing personal narratives. You start writing a personal narrative by organizing events. We used a writing organizer with a beginning, middle, and end. 

Laken’s personal narrative is about baking a big cookie. 

Savannah wrote two personal narratives! The first one is about helping her mom with the cleaning. The other story is about her brother’s birthday. She liked writing about helping her mom clean.
