Paws for a Cause Senior Day of Service

Central York High School launched the first-ever “Paws for a Cause”, an initiative aimed at getting our students out in the community and giving back!

In its first year, members of the Class of 2026 volunteered at the York County Food Bank and worked on grounds cleanup at Central York Middle School. Community is one of our five core values, and this opportunity allows our students to put that into action. Hours served during “Paws for a Cause” count towards National Honor Society Hours, as well as a service project under one of Pennsylvania’s Act 158 graduation pathways.

The project was led by senior Naomi Kehrl, one of our Student Board Representatives, and we hope to grow it next year as a lasting tradition of Panther service!
