Central York High School Senior Ty Biser has been named a National Merit Scholarship Finalist!

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition among high school students across the country that began in 1955. Students must complete testing and specific entry requirements for consideration in the competition. The highly competitive program offers a select number of scholarships for students who qualify, which represent less than one percent of U.S. high school graduating seniors.

Because of his hard work and this distinction, Ty has been offered 100% out-of-state tuition coverage at Florida State University, one of his top college choices, among several other financial award offers.

Ty is the only senior at Central York to receive the designation this year, and one of only 7,140 students nationwide to receive this scholarship funding.
