Clearances and Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in supporting our students through volunteer service. Whether you're a parent, guardian, or community member, your involvement helps strengthen our school community and enrich the educational experience for our students.

We value the time, talents, and care you bring to our classrooms, activities, and events. To ensure a safe and supportive environment for everyone, all volunteers must complete the required application and clearance process each school year. Please review the information below to learn how to get started or renew your volunteer status. We are excited to partner with you and appreciate your commitment to our students' success!

Clearances

Pennsylvania law requires all District volunteers to provide clearances before they can be approved to volunteer. Clearances must be less than five years old (60 months) and are free* to obtain for volunteers.

All prospective volunteers must obtain a PA Child Abuse History Clearance, the PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Federal Criminal History Background Check OR Volunteer Verification Form based on the following:
  • If you have lived in PA for less than ten years, you must complete the FBI Criminal Background Check, which includes a small fee.
  • If you have lived in PA for ten or more years, please complete the Volunteer Verification form.

*There is a fee for the FBI Federal Criminal History Background Check if you are required to obtain this report.
