Bullying

Bullying means an intentional electronic, written, verbal, or physical act or series of acts directed at another student or students, which occurs in a school setting and/or outside a school setting, that is severe, persistent, or pervasive and has the effect of doing any of the following: 

1. Substantial interference with a student’s education. 
2. Creation of a threatening environment. 
3. Substantial disruption of the orderly operation of the school. 

 

Confidentiality of all parties, witnesses, the allegations and the filing of a report shall be handled in accordance with applicable law, regulations, Board policy, procedures, and the District's legal and investigative obligations. The school will take all reasonable steps to investigate and respond to the report, consistent with a request for confidentiality as long as doing so does not preclude the school from responding effectively to the report. Once this report is filed, the District has an obligation to investigate the information provided. 

I affirm that the information reported above is true to the best of my knowledge, information and belief. Upon receiving a report of a bullying allegation, an investigation will be initiated by a member of the District’s professional or administrative staff.
