Bright Bytes Survey

Information about brightbytes surveys for parents & guardians

Tech kidsThe administration, faculty and staff of Central York School District remain committed to providing your child with the ideal learning experience. Obtaining feedback from you, as parents/guardians and partners in your child’s education, as well as from our students, is critical to achieving this goal.

In an attempt to refine the existing learning experiences, we depend upon verbal and written feedback. In most cases, the feedback is easily secured, analyzed, and formulated into improvement action plans.

It is more difficult, however, for us to obtain information on what access our students have to technology at home and in school in support of their learning. In addition, we are working to better measure how students are mastering 21st Century Skills such critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication.

To help us learn more about these two areas, the District has partnered with BrightBytes to access a survey tool that we began using in the 2015-2016 school year. The survey, for students in Grades 3-12, is taken online, requires no more than 15 minutes to complete and is administered to students twice a year (Fall and Spring).

**This year, we will also survey parents/guardians of learners in Grades 3-12 to provide you with an opportunity to share your feedback on the same topics as your children, and our faculty, staff and administration.

It is anonymous and gathers information on the topics described above. Most importantly, it gives us immediate feedback to help us improve how we are using technology in support of the learning experience throughout the District. The link to our parent/guardian BrightBytes Survey will be live May 21, and accessible on using the links on the left side of this site.

The survey will be available February 18, 2019 through March 1, 2019. Select from the links on the left to take the survey for your child's school. If you have multiple children attending Grades 3-12 in Central York School District, you may take a survey for each school your child attends (i.e., if you have a child in Stony Brook, one in North Hills, and one in Central York School, take a survey for each of those schools.)

Thank you for your time and assistance with this survey. We appreciate your feedback, and will use it to help enhance the Central Experience for our learners and families.
