Open Gyms 2025-2026

• Wednesdays 800pm-930pm
• Fridays 600am-715am (Upperclass Only*)
• *Underclassmen as identified by coaching staff will be invited to attend as well*
• Open gyms will run from September 2025 through the end of February 2026. All Open Gyms will be held at the CYHS gym. Please use the pool doors to enter on Wednesdays, and the Athletic Hallway doors to enter on Friday Ams. If school is NOT in session, there will be no open gyms. Some Wednesdays and Fridays may be subject to change based on gym availability, weather, in season sports etc. Other days may be added throughout the offseason depending on coach availability and gym space. The coaching staff will do their best to get changes and updates out to players and families as quickly as possible via email, text and/or group me. Tryouts 2025-2026
JV Tryouts for all Freshman, Sophomores and any 1st year players will take place the first week of the Spring Sports season (usually this is the first or second week of March). The coaching staff reserves the right to bump certain underclassmen or first year players to varsity tryouts, based on ability, experience, athleticism etc. Tryouts will be 2-3 days. Times, dates, and location are TBD and will be updated in February 2026. 

Varsity Tryouts for all Juniors and Seniors who are NOT first year players (and any underclassmen identified by the coaching staff) will take place the first week of Spring Sports Season. Tryouts will be 2-3 days. Times, dates, and location are TBD and will be updated in February 2026.

All athletes wishing to tryout for the Central York Boys Volleyball team MUST have their physical completed and the appropriate paperwork willed out via RankOne. If this is not completed, then you will NOT be able to participate. 

We usually keep between 26-32 athletes on our roster between Varsity and JV. We are a team that makes cuts. Attending open gyms, playing club volleyball, and making the CY volleyball team in the past do NOT guarantee a spot on the team.
