Mr. Youcheff or Mr. Livingston with any questions or concerns. We strive to keep the lines of communication open between home and school. Our email addresses are posted on the North Hills’ website, and we can be reached by phone at 846-6789. We would like to thank everyone for the continued communication.
Please review the "Attendance Information" in the 2013-2014 Student/Parent Handbook. As with most children, it is not unusual to miss days due to illness. However, when this occurs, it is necessary to have a BLUE excuse card signed by the parent or guardian stating the reason the student was absent. A BLUE card is also required for educational trips, preceded by the completion of the Educational Trip request form. This is part of the Pennsylvania School Law. If five days pass and a BLUE card is not returned, the absence becomes unexcused.
After 10 absences, a student may receive a note from NHE requiring a doctor's note for any future absence. If you child is experiencing a special medical problem, please contact the school nurse and submit a letter from your child's doctor pertaining to the medical condition.
If there are any concerns regarding attendance, please contact the school.

We ask that you sign up and contribute your time and effort to continue to make NHE a school of excellence.
Mr. Jeffrey L. Fox
Who Was Mr. Fox?
In 1984, he became an Administrative Intern. In 1985, he became Principal of North Hills Elementary. He was also Principal of Roundtown for five years. Phi Delta Kappa named him Outstanding Principal of the Year during the 1990-1991 school year.
He was not only a wonderful teacher and principal, but also a wonderful husband and father. In February of 1996, after 23 years with the district, he lost his battle with cancer. His spirit of caring lives on in those whose lives he touched throughout the years.
In 1996, the track meet was renamed “The Jeffrey L. Fox Memorial Track Meet” as a tribute to the blood, sweat, and tears he had shed for the students in Central. Mr. Fox was a phenomenal educator, colleague, father, and friend who touched the lives and hearts of everyone he came in contact with during his years at Central.
